Brochure InfoMonadnock State Park HQ is located in and around the 3,165-ft. Mount Monadnock. The park is surrounded by thousands of acres of protected highlands. In 1987, Mount Monadnock was designated a National Natural Landmark. The park offers year-round recreational opportunities.Key Info SITE FEE COVERS 2 ADULTS AND UP TO 4 DEPENDENT CHILDREN. FOR ALL ADDITIONAL ADULTS A FEE OF $10 PER NIGHT AND FOR ALL ADDITIONAL CHILDREN FEES OF $5 PER NIGHT ARE TO BE PAID UPON ARRIVAL. PLEASE DO NOT BRING FIREWOOD WITH YOU. Firewood can carry exotic insects and tree diseases. Safe firewood is available to purchase at the campground for your convenience. Youth Group sites are available at Monadnock Headquarters and with fees of $5 per child per night and for every 4 children, 1 adult pays $5 per night. Each additional adults pay $10 per night. Camping is available year round but during winter months there is no snowplowing so all must hike in carrying their gear. NH Senior Citizens are given a $5 per night discount and NH State Employees are given a 50% discount. The discount will be provided once verified at the campground. - There is limited to no cell service at this park. Service may vary based on provider. Anyone entering with a pet will be asked to leave. For more information on the NH State Parks Pet Policy, or to see where pets are allowed, please visit: https://www.nhstateparks.org/planning/pet-friendly-state-parks Important Information for Daily EntranceDay Use: Visitors should make a reservation before arriving at the park as parking is limited (especially on nice weekends and holidays). However, a limited number of walk-in spaces are available and visitors who do not make a reservation will be admitted on a first come/first-serve basis. Reservations can be made up to 30 days prior to arrival and no later than 5pm on the day of your visit. Monadnock State Park is located in and around the 3,165-ft. Mount Monadnock. The park offers year-round recreational opportunities. Additional Information Monadnock is not an easy hike. All routes to the top include very steep and rocky sections. Recreationists should possess the necessary knowledge, skill, and equipment to ensure their own safety. Users assume all risk while recreating in State Park lands. Hikers interested in finding out current conditions prior to heading out can call the park directly at (603) 532-8862. Pets are not permitted in the park. Please note that this law includes all trails and areas on Mount Monadnock that are within Monadnock State Park boundaries. The $15 vehicle fee covers day use admission for the driver and occupants of the vehicle. Vehicle must be non-commercial with a maximum of 6 occupants. Practice social distancing and please no groups larger than 10 people. Refund Policy: Cancellations MUST be made prior to 9AM of the day of your visit to receive a refund. There will be no refunds due to weather or insects. Refunds requested for extenuating circumstances must be submitted to: nhstateparkscamping@dncr.nh.gov where they will be evaluated on a case by case basis. Discount for New Hampshire Seniors:Indicate that you are a senior on your order details page and you will not be charged the day-use/parking fee. However, there is a $1 transaction fee for using the online reservation system. To receive your discount at our per person fee locations, simply enter the number of NH Senior Citizens in the vehicle/occupant information section of the order details page, instead of the number of Adults. To receive your discount at our per vehicle locations (Hampton Beach State Park (South), Wallis Sands State Park, Livermore Falls, Monadnock State Park), check the NH Senior Citizens box listed among the other complementary entrance options in the primary occupant profile section of the order details page. If you choose not to purchase a day use pass or parking pass reservation, we will be setting aside a limited number of parking spaces for seniors based upon historical use. A $6.50 non-refundable on-line reservation fee will be charged for each reservation. Payment Methods Accepted On-line: Cancellation Policy A non-refundable penalty fee of $15.00 will be charged for cancellations made less than 6 days prior to your scheduled arrival. There is no cancellation fee for cancellations made 6 days or more before your scheduled arrival.
