Overview

Brochure InfoOriginally carved out of the Turkey Track Ranch in 1927, Meade State Park rests in the High Plains of southwest Kansas. The state park and wildlife area comprise 803 acres of land and water and are situated just west of the Red Hills, about 8 miles south and 5 miles west of Meade on Highway 23. Overnight camping is available and visitors may choose from 54 primitive sites or 42 water and electric sites. Sewer is not provided, but a dump station is available for year round use. The lake is surrounded by many trees that provide shade for camping or picnicking.
