About

Cabin Colony at Hendy Woods State Park provides an authentic rustic camping experience in four basic one-room cabins. Each cabin is equipped with full-size bunk beds, a table, and a wood stove for heating. Located within the 850-acre park, the cabins sit adjacent to the campground area and offer easy access to the park's signature old-growth coast redwood groves. Hendy Woods State Park features two virgin redwood groves, Big Hendy (80 acres) and Little Hendy (20 acres), with trees that may be over 1,000 years old. The park offers five miles of trails, including a wheelchair-accessible Discovery Trail through Big Hendy Grove. Situated in the heart of the Anderson Valley wine district, the park is warmer and less foggy than coastal redwood parks. The park provides year-round camping and cabin access, with the Navarro River running its length. Visitors enjoy swimming in summer, kayaking and canoeing in late winter and early spring, and exploring interpretive exhibits and nature programs. The park is located less than three hours from San Francisco, eight miles northwest of Boonville off Highway 128.
