Bald Eagle State Park encompasses 5,900 acres in the broad Bald Eagle Valley of northcentral Pennsylvania. The park's 1,730-acre lake laps the flanks of Bald Eagle Mountain and is surrounded by forests, fields, and wetlands that provide excellent wildlife watching opportunities. The lake supports robust warm-water fisheries and offers swimming beaches and full-service marina access. The Russell P. Letterman Campground contains 94 modern sites with options ranging from electric-only to full-hookup (water, sewer, and electric) configurations. Amenities include bath houses with hot showers, a sanitary dump station, and an amphitheater. The Rustic Camping Area adds 68 sites including 34 walk-to tent sites set approximately 150 feet from the road and 34 vehicle-accessible sites with non-flush toilets and drinking water. Beyond traditional camping, the park offers camping cottages, a deluxe cottage, two yurts, and the Nature Inn overlooking the lake. The campgrounds are less than one mile from the beach and marina, providing convenient access to boating, fishing, and swimming activities.

From I-80 westbound: Take Exit 158 to PA 150 north for approximately 10 miles. From I-80 eastbound: Take Exit 178 to US 220 north, then PA 150 south for approximately 13 miles. From I-99: Take Exit 61 to Port Matilda, then US 220-ALT to PA 150 north.
