About
Honeydew Campground is a small, primitive campground managed by the Bureau of Land Management as part of the King Range National Conservation Area on California's Lost Coast. The campground offers 5 tent/trailer sites, each equipped with a picnic table and fire ring. Vault toilets are provided, and the facility is wheelchair accessible. No potable water is available at the campground. A creek runs nearby, but all water must be treated before drinking. There are no hookups or dump stations. The campground operates first-come, first-served with no reservations through Recreation.gov. The King Range NCA encompasses over 68,000 acres of rugged coastal mountains and the famous Lost Coast Trail. Campers at Honeydew are limited to a 14-day stay per calendar year within the King Range NCA. The area is remote with unreliable cell service, so advance planning is recommended.
