About

Honeydew Campground is a former Bureau of Land Management camping facility located in Humboldt County along Wilder Ridge Road near the unincorporated community of Honeydew in California's Lost Coast region. The site previously offered 5 tent/trailer campsites with picnic tables, fire rings, and vault toilets, but no water or hookups. The BLM has since converted this location to a day use area only, and no camping facilities or amenities are currently available at the site. The area is situated approximately 1 mile south of Honeydew along Wilder Ridge Road toward Ettersburg, accessible from Highway 101 via the South Fork/Honeydew exit. While this site is no longer available for overnight camping, the King Range area offers several other BLM campgrounds including Mattole, Tolkan, Nadelos, Wailaki, and Horse Mountain campgrounds for those seeking camping opportunities in the Lost Coast region.

Directions

From Highway 101, take the South Fork/Honeydew exit. Follow signs to Honeydew, then turn south onto Wilder Ridge Road toward Ettersburg for 1 mile.
