The Railroad Flat Campground is located at the end of Briceburg River Road within the BLM, Merced River Recreation Area. It is popular with gold prospectors and hikers and serves as a trailhead for the BLM, Merced River Trail. The campground is equipped with 9 campsites, picnic tables, fire grills, and food storage lockers. Camping is first come, first served and visitors are encouraged to follow strict OUTDOOR ETHICS and RECREATE RESPONSIBLY.

Potable water is available across the Briceburg Bridge as you head towards the campground facilities. Look for the faucet near the information kiosk. Bring your own water for camping purposes. Potable water is not available at the campground sites.
