About

Mariners Point Group Campground occupies a scenic location where the Pit and Squaw arms of Shasta Lake converge, at approximately 1,067 feet elevation within the Shasta-Trinity National Forest. The campground caters to group camping with two reservable loops, each accommodating tents and small trailers up to 16 feet. All campsites include picnic tables, grills, fire rings, and parking spurs. Vault toilets are provided on-site, but there is no potable water, so campers must bring their own supply. The nearest public boat ramp is six miles away at Jones Valley, with nearby lakeside resorts offering boat rentals and fuel. Shasta Lake offers excellent recreation opportunities including power boating, water skiing, and fishing for trout, catfish, Chinook salmon, crappie, bluegill, bass, and white sturgeon. The surrounding Shasta-Trinity National Forest, California's largest national forest, provides additional hiking opportunities with views of snow-capped Mount Shasta in the distance.
