About

Wildomar Campground is a small, primitive camping area nestled in the Santa Ana Mountains of Cleveland National Forest in Riverside County, California. The campground features 11 individual campsites and serves as a staging point for both off-highway vehicle recreation and hiking in the surrounding wilderness. The campground is located approximately one mile from the Wildomar OHV riding area, making it popular with dirt bikers and ATV enthusiasts. Day hikers also use it as a base for exploring nearby trails, including access to the Pacific Crest Trail. The area sees light use compared to other Cleveland National Forest campgrounds. Facilities are minimal: one vault toilet is available, but there is no potable water on site. Campers must bring all their own drinking water. The campground accommodates vehicles up to 22 feet in length, making it unsuitable for large RVs or trailers.

Directions

From Lake Elsinore, travel west on Highway 74 (Ortega Highway) approximately 12 miles up into the mountains. At the intersection with South Main Divide Road, turn left and follow south for approximately 9 miles to the Wildomar OHV area and campground.
