Caribou Campground is a rustic, no-fee campground tucked into the Kootenai National Forest north of Troy, Montana. Situated at 3,644 feet elevation along Forest Road 92, this small campground offers just three campsites, making it an ideal destination for those seeking solitude and a true backcountry experience. Each site is equipped with a picnic table and fire ring. A vault toilet serves the campground, but there is no potable water available, so campers must bring an adequate supply. This is a pack-in/pack-out facility with no trash service. The campground provides access to river and stream fishing in the surrounding area. The campground is managed from Memorial Day through Labor Day but remains available to visitors year-round, weather and road conditions permitting. There is a 16-day stay limit on National Forest System lands. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash. Fireworks are prohibited throughout the National Forest.
