About

Boca Spring Campground is nestled within a heavily forested stand of pine and fir trees in the Tahoe National Forest, approximately one mile east of Boca Reservoir. A natural spring feeds a meadow adjacent to the campground. The site offers 16 single-family campsites and one group site accommodating up to 25 people with eight vehicles. Each site includes a picnic table, fire ring with grill, and access to vault toilets. The campground serves as a base for water recreation at Boca Reservoir, where boating, water skiing, swimming, and fishing are popular. A boat ramp is located at Boca Campground on the reservoir's southwest end. The Little Truckee River nearby is renowned for catch-and-release fly-fishing. Hikers, mountain bikers, and equestrians can explore numerous trails, including the Boca Townsite Interpretive Trail showcasing the area's railroad and brewery history. Stampede Reservoir lies 9 miles north with additional water recreation. Truckee offers full amenities including restaurants, lodging, and supplies. Lake Tahoe is 35 minutes away. Bears frequent the area; secure food storage is required.
