About

Spinreel Campground sits in the heart of the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area in Coos County, Oregon, positioned along Tenmile Creek. The campground caters primarily to off-road vehicle enthusiasts seeking access to some of the most expansive dune riding terrain on the Oregon coast. Towering sand dunes provide sweeping vistas, with the Pacific Ocean a short distance west. The 37 standard nonelectric sites offer flush toilets, potable water from hand pumps, picnic tables, and campfire rings. A boat ramp accommodates small boats launching into Tenmile Creek, which flows from Tenmile Lake to the Pacific. There are no hookups, dump stations, or showers. Riders can access designated routes including Coast Guard North and South Trails and the 430 OHV Trail, or cruise open riding zones from the adjacent Spinreel OHV Staging Area. A State of Oregon OHV permit is required. Alcohol is banned in OHV riding areas. The John Dellenback Dunes Trail, a non-motorized route to the beach, lies two miles north.
