About

Birch Cove Campground sits on the shores of Birch Lake, a 1,137-acre reservoir in Osage County managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Tulsa District. The lake is cradled in valleys surrounded by rolling, forested hills featuring post oak, blackjack, hickory, and elm. The shoreline ranges from gentle slopes to rocky outcrops, with tallgrass prairie and hardwood forests creating a scenic backdrop. The campground offers approximately 90 standard electric sites with 30-amp service, most either waterfront or within a short walk of the lake. Each site includes a fire ring, BBQ grill, and concrete picnic table. Water is shared throughout the campground so bringing extra hose is recommended. The facility has bathhouses with flush toilets and showers, a dump station, playground, swim beach, fishing dock, and boat ramp. Birch Lake is popular for fishing with species including largemouth bass, walleye, spotted bass, crappie, catfish, and sunfish. Hunting is available in surrounding areas for quail, dove, squirrel, rabbit, and whitetail deer. A campground attendant is on-site Thursday through Monday from noon to 10 PM. Gates close nightly from 10 PM to 6 AM.
