About

Stateline Campground is situated at 9,200 feet elevation next to Stateline Reservoir on the northern slope of the Uinta Mountains, approximately 21 miles from Mountain View, Wyoming. The campground offers 41 single family sites and one group site, each equipped with a picnic table, campfire ring, and grill. Some sites provide partial lake views. Despite being accessed via a maintained dirt road, the campground features paved roads and parking spurs. A dump station is located across the road from the campground. The campground sits within a thin forest of lodgepole pine, ponderosa pine, and aspen that provides limited shade. Summer wildflowers and grasses dot the landscape, and the area is home to moose, deer, and other wildlife. Stateline Reservoir offers excellent opportunities for rainbow and cutthroat trout fishing, along with canoeing, kayaking, and boating for small watercraft. A boat ramp is available nearby. The surrounding area is crisscrossed with off-road vehicle, hiking, biking, and horseback riding trails. The China Meadows Trailhead nearby provides hikers and horseback riders with access to the High Uintas Wilderness, known for its beautiful canyons, soaring peaks, and pristine alpine lakes. Gates open at 7am and close at 10pm daily. The campground enforces a 14-day stay limit, with a 2-night minimum on weekends and 3-night minimum on holiday weekends.
