Gold Basin Group Campground on the Mountain Loop Highway near the banks of the South Fork of the Stillaguamish River provides visitors with a serene and wild outdoor experience. It offers various recreational opportunities, such as hiking, biking, fishing, picnicking, horseback riding, skiing and snowshoeing, and boasts a large open field for sports and group activities, as well as interpretive trails and facilities such as firewood, drinking water, showers and flush toilets. Nearby attractions include the North Cascades and Mt. Rainer National Parks, and the Pacific Crest Trail.
