The historic cabin camp was completed in 1937 by the Works Progress Administration (WPA). The camp is nestled in hardwood forests on the slopes of Catoctin Mountain Park. The historic stone and wood cabins were constructed as part of a federal Great Depression-era jobs plan to build recreational camps.
