Welcome to the Red Rock Ranger District of the Coconino National Forest! Enjoy views of Sedona’s iconic red rocks while driving Soldier Pass Road (FR9904) through an Arizona cypress forest. FR9904 is one mile of unpaved, rough road providing motorized access to natural features such as the Devil's Kitchen sinkhole and Seven Sacred Pools. The four-wheel drive portion of Soldier Pass Road is located off of the paved portion of Soldier Pass Road and Rim Shadows Drive in Sedona, AZ. This permit is for motorized road access only, it does not authorize parking at the Soldier Pass Trailhead.
