Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - A series of weak disturbances will lift over a very warm and moist airmass settled over the region from tonight through the Holiday Weekend. Rainfall with these waves is expected to be heavy at times and with little storm motion and or backbuilding, flash flooding concerns will be present from now through the start of the work week. In southeast Texas, Austin, Bolivar Peninsula, Brazoria Islands, Chambers, Coastal Brazoria, Coastal Galveston, Coastal Matagorda, Colorado, Fort Bend, Galveston Island, Inland Brazoria, Inland Galveston, Inland Harris, Inland Matagorda, Matagorda Islands, Montgomery, Northern Liberty, Southern Liberty, Waller and Wharton. * WHEN...Through Monday evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Additional rainfall totals through late Monday are anticipated to be in the 2 to 5 inches range along the coastal counties and 1 to 3 inches elsewhere. Bridge Closure on Sunflower Road
Sunflower Road is closed at Big Sandy Creek for bridge replacement. Big Sandy Trail is open and accessible via Sunflower Road from Dallardsville.
