Due to the closure of the Selma Interpretive Center, the Selma Welcome Center at 14 Broad Street has trail staff to provide visitor information services.
Phones at the Lowndes and Selma Interpretive Centers are currently down. Please call the Montgomery Interpretive Center at (334)293-0597 for questions or to make a reservation for a group visit.
On Saturday, March 8th, 2025, the Lowndes and Montgomery Interpretive Centers will be open as usual.
On Sunday, March 9th, 2025, the Lowndes Interpretive Center will be open from 9 am to 4:30 pm. The Montgomery Interpretive Center will be closed.
The Selma Welcome Center at 14 Broad Street will be closed temporarily for minor repairs starting Monday, September 8, 2025. We expect to reopen later in the week once repairs are completed.
The Montgomery Center is located next to the ASU football stadium. Home games are scheduled for Sept. 7, Oct. 5 and 12, and Nov. 16, 23, and 28.
Home games are big events - streets may be closed and parking may be difficult to find at this center.
All visitor centers are closed Jan. 21 through Jan. 22, due to winter storm conditions. Reopening is anticipated on Jan. 23, updates will be posted on the website and social media.
The Selma Interpretive Center will remain closed to the public until the project’s completion, which is expected by 2028. The Lowndes and Montgomery Interpretive Centers and the temporary location at the Selma Welcome Center at 14 Broad Street are open
The Selma Welcome Center and temporary NPS Selma Site will be closed, Friday, July 25, 2025 for minor repairs. We anticipate reopening on Saturday, July 26.
Our Lowndes and Montgomery Interpretive Centers will be open during regular operating hours.

The temporary visitor center in the City of Selma Welcome Center will be closed June 24 - June 27, 2025 due to construction on the front entrance of the building.
