Marine Weather Statement issued March 3 at 12:06PM EST by NWS Jacksonville FL
Areas of sea fog will remain possible along the near shore waters adjacent to northeast Florida this afternoon. Marine interests should exercise caution due to this potentially dense sea fog, especially within about 10 nautical miles of the shoreline. Visibilities will be restricted to around or less than 1 nautical mile at times. Navigation may be hazardous in restricted waterways and channels.
Special Weather Statement issued March 3 at 10:58AM EST by NWS Jacksonville FL
Sea fog will continue to occasionally reduce visibilities to around one mile or less through the early to mid afternoon hours for coastal southeast Georgia and for locations north of St. Augustine Beach along coastal northeast Florida. Dense sea fog will likely expand inland during the late afternoon and early evening hours tonight, when Dense Fog Advisories will likely be re-issued for all of coastal southeast Georgia and coastal northeast Florida. Motorists should remain alert for sudden changes in visibility this afternoon, particularly along coastal roads such as A-1A in northeast Florida and U.S. Highway 17 in southeast Georgia. If you encounter sea fog while driving in these coastal locations this afternoon, slow down and leave extra distance ahead of you in case a sudden stop is needed.
