At 1139 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of decaying thunderstorms moving across the southern Texas Panhandle along a line extending from 5 miles south of Fritch to Wayside. Movement was northeast at 40 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph as the precipitation decreases. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Pampa, Panhandle, Clarendon, Claude, White Deer, Mclean, Groom, Lefors, Skellytown, Howardwick, Hedley, Lelia Lake, Lake Mcclellan, Wayside, Washburn, Goodnight, Kingsmill, Alanreed, Greenbelt Lake, and Pantex. This includes Interstate 40 between mile markers 80 and 148.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of the Panhandle of Texas, including the following counties, Armstrong and Randall. * WHEN...Until 1215 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Overflowing poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1023 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 0.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area.
