Brochure InfoThe name of both the town and reservoir honors the three Huntington brothers, Oliver, William, and Dimick, who first explored this area in 1855. Dimick was an interpreter for the local Indians; William was famed as a scout and explorer; and Oliver was an official recorder for the unsuccessful Elk Mountain Mission to Moab. These visitors must request a back-in site. No parking is allowed outside the park. A 25-boat capacity limit on the water is enforced at all times. No overnight group camping area. Regular camping facilities are available for reservation April 1st through September 30th. Campground is open from October 1st through March 31st however they are on a first come first serve basis. Cold winter conditions may exist from November through February. Important Information for Daily EntranceDirectionFrom Salt Lake City: Take Interstate 15 south to State Road 6 (Exit 261). Take State Road 6 southeast to State Road 10 (Exit 241). Travel 19 miles south on State Road 10 to the park.Fee Cancellation DescCancellations are accepted online 24 hours a day, seven days a week or by calling the Reservation Call Center Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Mountain Time) Individual site cancellations made four days or more in advance of your scheduled arrival incur an $8 cancellation fee in addition to the $8 reservation fee. Cancellations made less than four days in advance forfeit one night's fee in addition to the cancellation and reservation fees. Group area cancellations made 14 days or more in advance of your scheduled arrival incur an $8 cancellation fee in addition to the $10.25 reservation fee. Cancellations made less than 14 days in advance forfeit one night's fee in addition to the cancellation and reservation fees. Changes to an existing reservation can only be made by contacting the Reservation Call Center. Changes can be made up to two days prior to your scheduled arrival date and incur a $5 change fee per site.
