Brochure InfoUtah Lake is unique in that it is one of the largest freshwater lakes in the West and yet it lies in an arid area that receives only about 15 inches of rainfall a year. The mouth of the Provo River, where it empties into Utah Lake, was undoubtedly a very popular camping place for the early inhabitants of Utah Valley.Brochure Info - OrientationThe state park provides major access to the 96,600-acre lake for power boating, sailing, canoeing or kayaking.Brochure Info - RecreationUtah Lake, the state's largest freshwater lake, provides year-round fishing for channel catfish, walleye, white bass, black bass and several different species of panfish.Brochure Info - Facilities and RestrictionsThe campground is located on the east side of the lake. Newly renovated facilities include four boat launch ramps, marina, boat slips, courtesy docks, modern restrooms, visitor center, showers, campsites, a fishing area for the physically challenged, and sewage disposal and fish cleaning stations.Key Info No fires allowed on the beach. Travel west on Center Street for 2.5 miles to the park.Season Date DescPeak Season for reservations: April 1st-October 30thFee Cancellation DescCancellations are accepted online 24 hours a day, seven days a week or by calling the Reservation Call Center Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Mountain Time) Individual site cancellations made four days or more in advance of your scheduled arrival incur an $8 cancellation fee in addition to the $8 reservation fee. Cancellations made less than four days in advance forfeit one night's fee in addition to the cancellation and reservation fees. Group area cancellations made 14 days or more in advance of your scheduled arrival incur an $8 cancellation fee in addition to the $10.25 reservation fee. Cancellations made less than 14 days in advance forfeit one night's fee in addition to the cancellation and reservation fees. Changes to an existing reservation can only be made by contacting the Reservation Call Center. Changes can be made up to two days prior to your scheduled arrival date and incur a $5 change fee per site.
