Brochure InfoDeer Creek State Park is easily accessible from the Wasatch Front; within one-half hour from Provo and an hour from Salt Lake City. The reservoir and park are extremely popular for recreation and camping. Major park activities are water-based, including boating, water skiing, sailing, windsurfing, swimming, and fishing.Deer Creek Reservoir lies in the southwest corner of beautiful Heber Valley, at the base of towering Mount Timpanogos. Its cool waters provide some of Utah's finest year-round fishing. Brochure Info - RecreationThis park offers campgrounds for individual and group camping and Group day-use facilities are available at Sailboat Beach, Petersen, Island, and Rainbow Bay Walsburg Bay, located at the southwest end of the reservoir, and is available for group use camping from July 1st- October 31st (water may not be available after October 15th) and is open for day use only from November 1st to June 30th. Important Information for Daily EntranceDirectionFrom Salt Lake City: Travel east on Interstate 80 to State Road 40 to US 189,(milepost 19) to the park. From Provo: Take Exit 275 off of Interstate 15 and follow Highway 189 (milepost 19) through Provo Canyon to the main park.Fee Cancellation DescCancellations are accepted online 24 hours a day, seven days a week or by calling the Reservation Call Center Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Mountain Time) Individual site cancellations made four days or more in advance of your scheduled arrival incur an $8 cancellation fee in addition to the $8 reservation fee. Cancellations made less than four days in advance forfeit one night's fee in addition to the cancellation and reservation fees. Group area cancellations made 14 days or more in advance of your scheduled arrival incur an $8 cancellation fee in addition to the $10.25 reservation fee. Cancellations made less than 14 days in advance forfeit one night's fee in addition to the cancellation and reservation fees. Changes to an existing reservation can only be made by contacting the Reservation Call Center. Changes can be made up to two days prior to your scheduled arrival date and incur a $5 change fee per site.
