DAY USE FEE: $6 per day, per person 13 and older. OFFICE AND GATE INFORMATION: Park open 8am to 10pm - seven days a week, year round. Park gate only locks during emergencies such as floods, overcrowding & public hunts. Otherwise open 24 hours. Units for Hill Country State Natural Area are defined as: Any motorized vehicle or trailer with sleep quarters will count against the two vehicle campsite limit. Horse only trailers will not be counted against the two vehicle per campsite limit. Any units occupying sites above the established limit will be charged excess vehicle fees. Hill Country State Natural Area offers a 5400 acre undeveloped setting for Equestrian use, backpacking, hiking, and all-terrain bicycling.There are 3 backpacking areas and 1 equestrian area available on a 1st come, 1st serve basis. Call park for availability. Must stay on trail. Contact Park staff if water is required at equestrian site. Guide service providers can help you explore this remote natural area or try a new activity. Services include horseback riding, mountain biking, and hiking. Pets are allowed at all sites in the park except inside the Group Lodge. PARK PHONE NUMBER: 830-796-4413Important Information for Daily EntranceDirectionFrom San Antonio: Take Hwy 16 North to Bandera. From Bandera turn South on Hwy 173. Go almost 1/2 mile to Ranch Road 1077. Turn right and go 10 miles to the park. From Houston: Take I 10 West to Seguin. Exit on Hwy 46 to New Braunfels. Continue on Hwy 46 through Boerne to Hwy 16. Turn right on Hwy 16 to Bandera. From Bandera turn South on Hwy 173. Go almost 1/2 mile to RR 1077. Turn right and go 10 miles to the park.Booking Window Product InfoFee Cancellation DescNo-shows: If you do not check in at the park by noon of the day after your scheduled arrival date, we will cancel the rest of your reservation. Your entrance fees will be refunded, but all other fees will be forfeited. If you think you will arrive after the noon cutoff, call the park or the Customer Service Center to avoid cancellation.
