If you are planning to visit for the day, please arrive early and have alternate plans in case the park is closed. Customers with 'Save the Day' Passes and reservations are not affected and are able to enter during these closures. Customers wanting more than 14 days during these transition periods may make a reservation for 14 days and then contact the Customer Service Center to extend the reservation for the peak period. Garner is divided into 2 sections: Old Garner and New Garner - both sections are along the Frio River. Old Garner is the Pecan Grove and Oakmont areas; considered premium due to demand. Concessions and recreational activities are in this area: grocery store, mini-golf, paddleboats, dance pavilion and river dam with deepest swimming areas. Concessions are open seasonally - Memorial Day through Labor Day and some weekends. New Garner is the Live Oak, Cypress Springs, Rio Frio, Shady Meadows, River Crossing, and Persimmon Hill areas; considered regular. It is more secluded away from the concessions/activity area.
