DAY USE FEE: $7 per day, per person 13 and older. Texas State Park Pass is good for everyone in the vehicle, up to 15 people. No charge for reservations made by current annual pass holders. Pass must be shown on arrival. Reservation payments made by non-pass holders who later purchase a pass or who arrive in a vehicle with a pass holder will not be refunded. North Mountain is open for unguided Day Use only. Youth Group Annual Permit holders can make up to 25 reservations in the North Mountain Area. All visitors and campers will be required to attend a brief mandatory orientation. Anyone under 18 must have a parental form signed by parents when checking in. Pets & bikes in picnic/camp areas only. OFFICE AND GATE INFORMATION: Gate open from: (October 1 - April 30) 8am to 6pm, (May 1 - September 30) 8am to 6pm (Monday - Thursday), (May 1 - September 30) 7am to 7pm (Friday - Sunday). Gates lock promptly. The park does not accept any campers after 1 hour before the park closes due to the required orientation process. Day use reservations not claimed by 10am will be released. Fees paid on unclaimed reservations are not refundable. Due to needs for protection of cultural and natural resources, late arrivals are not accepted at Hueco Tanks SP & SHS. All customers must arrive during office hours for traditional check-in. Campers must arrive at by 5pm at the latest (or 6pm on summer weekends), to allow time for check-in and viewing of the required orientation video before the office closes. This park only allows containerized fuels (gas grills, camp stoves). No wood or charcoal fires are permitted. TOUR INFORMATION: Please arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled tour time to register at Headquarters. Pictograph Tours are offered Wednesday through Sunday by advanced reservation. October through April tours are at 10:30AM May through September tours are at 8:30AM Bouldering Tours are offered Wednesday through Sunday by advanced reservation and based on guide availability. October through April tours are at 10:00AM May through September tours are at 9:00AM Hiking Tours are offered Wednesday through Sunday by advanced reservation. October through April tours are at 9:30AM May through September tours are at 8:30AM Birding Tours are offered Wednesday through Sunday by advanced reservation and based on guide availability. Turn North on RR 2775 (at the Flying saucer shaped bldg). Stay on RR 2775 to the Park Headquarters. There are signs showing where to turn onto RR 2775 from Hwy 62/180. From Houston: Take I 10 West to Van Horn. Take Hwy 54 North to Hwy 62\18. Turn West to RR 2775. Turn North (at the Flying Saucer shaped bldg. on RR 2775. Stay on RR 2775 to the Park Headquarters. There are signs showing where to turn onto RR 2775 from Hwy 62\180.Booking Window Product InfoFee Cancellation DescNo-shows: If you do not check in at the park by noon of the day after your scheduled arrival date, we will cancel the rest of your reservation. Your entrance fees will be refunded, but all other fees will be forfeited. If you think you will arrive after the noon cutoff, call the park or the Customer Service Center to avoid cancellation.
