Nestled between the south end of a scenic glacial lake and the towering peaks of the Wallowa Mountains, Wallowa Lake State Recreation Area is ideally positioned as a base camp for both wilderness treks and water sports fun. Our day use areas consist of 2 reservable picnic sites, 1 reservable covered shelter named Ice Creek. Boat reservations and information are available at www.wallowalakemarina.com. SITE AVAILABILITY - Open year round with limited water availability between October and mid-May. Water will be shut off to water spigots in sites, day use areas, facilities and buildings. There will be a designated heated restroom/shower building open and a frost free water spigot in site D17. Park will offer limited reservable sites, including yurts, hookup sites and some first come, first served sites during this time. Key InfoIf you reserve a yurt, please look for your access combination in the confirmation letter, immediately following the DIRECTIONS to the park. Only one vehicle is included with camping fees. A second vehicle is subject to a nightly Extra Vehicle fee of $7.00. Individual campsites shall not be occupied by more than one recreational vehicle at the same time. Generator Use: Intermittent use allowed between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Overnight operation is not permitted. Generator use is not allowed in D Loop anytime. Bear and Deer Activity: Do not leave food unattended on tables. Visitors must keep food locked up in a hard-sided vehicle and take garbage to the dumpster. An $8 transaction fee is charged for any date or site changes made to an existing reservation. *Reservations for more than five nights/days that are later changed to fewer nights/days by cancelling nights at the end of the stay will only pay an $8 transaction fee. Reservations for more than five nights/days that are later changed to fewer nights/days by cancelling nights at the beginning of the stay will pay an $8 transaction fee and the nightly rate for each night cancelled. Date changes or cancellations to reservations cannot be made until 5 months (150 days) in advance of arrival date.
