Brochure InfoLowell State Recreation Site sits on the North shore of Dexter Lake, next to the city of Lowell. This day use park has it all! A reservable picnic shelter overlooks the lake and a wooded picnic area. A playground, basketball court, and flush restroom are all nearby. Down by the water is a large lawn area with picnic tables and a swim beach. For the boaters, there is a marina with rentable moorage, a large courtesy dock and a 4 lane launch ramp.Brochure Info - Facilities and RestrictionsLowell State Rec. Site has a large picnic shelter located in the upper end of the park near the entrance. The shelter has a covered kitchen and seating area with electricity, electric cooktops, drinking water and sink, and prep area. There is also a BBQ and flush restrooms and parking are adjacent to the shelter. The playground is nearby and it is a short walk to the marina and swim area.Key InfoCustomer Awareness Alert: * Blue-green algae blooms occur at Dexter Reservoir, most often between April and September, however can occur during any time of the year. * If an outbreak does occur, swallowing or inhaling water droplets should be avoided, as well as skin contact with water by humans or animals. Current algae bloom advisories are found in the Recreational Advisories at http://public.health.oregon.gov * Fee waivers and/or adjustments will not be provided due to the presence of Blue-green algae. In the event of algae bloom, all cancel and change policies as defined by OPRD Administrative Rules will apply. The Picnic Shelter is winterized November through March. The shelter is available first come, first served for walk in use during these months, no water or electric is provided. All turns have Lowell SRS directional signs.Booking Window Product InfoFee Cancellation DescThere is an $8 reservation fee per site reserved. An $8 transaction fee is charged for any date or site changes made to an existing reservation. *Reservations for more than five nights/days that are later changed to fewer nights/days by cancelling nights at the end of the stay will only pay an $8 transaction fee. Reservations for more than five nights/days that are later changed to fewer nights/days by cancelling nights at the beginning of the stay will pay an $8 transaction fee and the nightly rate for each night cancelled. Date changes or cancellations to reservations cannot be made until 5 months (150 days) in advance of arrival date.
