Brochure InfoUmpqua Lighthouse is located near some of the best crabbing and sports fishing along the Oregon coast. Hiking, picnicking and fishing are just some of the favorite activities. The dunes near the park are open to OHV riding 24 hours. The nearest staging area for OHVs is approximately 1 1/2 miles from the park. There is no direct access to the dunes from Umpqua Lighthouse State Park.Umpqua River Lighthouse and Museum, run by Douglas County Parks, is 1/2 mile from the park and open for tours May through September. MAKE SURE YOUR SITE MEETS YOUR CAMPING NEEDS Before reserving, please become familiar with the particulars of your chosen site, including the size of the tent pad area and the type of equipment that you may bring to the park. The contagious bacterial infection, and many others, are transmittable to humans and dogs. Please stay away from stranded marine mammals. For more information, go to Sea Lions with Leptospirosis. Only one vehicle is included with standard camp fees. A second vehicle is subject to a nightly Extra Vehicle fee. The nightly Extra Vehicle fee is currently $7.00. Maximum 2 vehicles per site. If you reserve a yurt or cabin, please look for your access combination in the confirmation letter, immediately following the DIRECTIONS to the park. Seasonal Beach Restrictions March 15 - Sep. 15 Some beaches have seasonal recreation restrictions during nesting season for the western snowy plover. On these beaches, foot and equestrian traffic are permitted on wet sand only; all other recreation is prohibited. Areas with special rules are marked on the beach with signs. An $8 transaction fee is charged for any date or site changes made to an existing reservation. *Reservations for more than five nights/days that are later changed to fewer nights/days by cancelling nights at the end of the stay will only pay an $8 transaction fee. Reservations for more than five nights/days that are later changed to fewer nights/days by cancelling nights at the beginning of the stay will pay an $8 transaction fee and the nightly rate for each night cancelled.
