Brochure InfoThank you for choosing Rooster Rock State Park for your event or picnic. Rooster Rock is located on the Columbia River, offering a scenic vista as well as sunbathing, boating, fishing, disc golf and windsurfing. Camping is not allowed on Sand Island or at Rooster Rock State Park. There is a $5.00 day use fee per vehicle, year round. IMPORTANT: Rooster Rock has an "off leash" pet area (signs near west end of the park, near boat basin). No pets allowed on beach. Helmets are required for riders under the age of 16. No Smoking tobacco products except in vehicles and personal camping units, in accordance with all applicable laws governing smoking in vehicles.Key Info$5 day use fee charged year round. Day use hours: June to August Open 7:00am to 10:00pm, September to May Open 7:00am to dusk. Closing times change as numbers of daylight hours change. Contact Rooster Rock (503-695-2261) or check the Oregon State Parks website for exact closing times during this date period. There is an $8 reservation fee per site reserved. An $8 transaction fee is charged for any date or site changes made to an existing reservation. Base rate for reservations includes the first 50 people, $1.00 per person thereafter. Maximum number of people depends on the site rented. Group leader is responsible to pay additional group fees. If additional group fees are not paid at the time a reservation is made, contact Rooster Rock State Park regarding payment of these fees at 503-695-2261. Groups must contact the park at (503) 695-2261, 30 days prior to arrival to discuss if a PARK PERMIT IS REQUIRED FOR NON-TYPICAL PICNIC-RELATED EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES Such as: *Special events involving non-traditional park activities (baptisms/weddings/car shows/other events etc) *Approval of Caterers/Vendors *use of kegs (OLCC permit required) *Set up of bouncy houses, waterslides and other inflatables *Approval of any use of Sound Systems, Bands, DJ's, or Special Entertainment. *Personal setup items such as trailer barbeques, tables, chairs, decorations. *Day use fee tally - to pay for their guests day use vehicle parking fee. *Driving stakes or other objects into the ground *Attaching anything to structures or natural resources *Special access to this areas for vehicles to aid in event set up and or the dropping off or picking up of persons who need assistance with getting closer to the area. *No parking or leaving of vehicles at the shelter site* Helmets are required for riders under the age of 16. Date changes or cancellations to reservations cannot be made until 5 months (150 days) in advance of arrival date.
