Brochure InfoThank you for choosing Benson State Park for your event or picnic. We hope you enjoy your visit and have a chance to take advantage of the many recreational opportunities at Benson Lake. This lake is stocked by the Oregon Dept. of Fish and Wildlife - so bring your fishing pole if you'd like to try your luck. The water is warm enough in the summer months to swim in, so bring your swimsuit - or bring along a blanket and sunbathe along its banks. There's a horseshoe pit and volleyball net for you to enjoy. If you are interested in a volleyball and horse shoes please call Rooster Rock Park for more info 503-695-2261 ext 0. Park is only accessible east bound on I-84. Pets (dogs) are not allowed in the lake(s), and leashes are required on pets at all times when in the park. A year round 9 hole disc golf course is available for park users (bring own discs). During peak summer season (Memorial Day through Labor Day) Benson is staffed by park personnel to help you with any questions.Key InfoDay Use hours change seasonally June-August: 7am - 10pm September - May: 7am - dusk Contact Rooser Rock (503-695-2261) for exact times. Shelter reservation does NOT waive parking fee; each vehicle must display a valid day use pass or other OPRD accepted pass or permit. Reservations can be made for multiple days; however, day use hours will be applied to all reservations on a daily basis. Camping and overnight occupancy is not allowed at Benson State Park Water is off and restrooms closed from Mid-November through Mid-March. The park is only accessible eastbound on I-84. Booking Window Product InfoFee Cancellation DescThere is an $8 reservation fee per site reserved. An $8 transaction fee is charged for any date or site changes made to an existing reservation. *Reservations for more than five nights/days that are later changed to fewer nights/days by cancelling nights at the end of the stay will only pay an $8 transaction fee. Reservations for more than five nights/days that are later changed to fewer nights/days by cancelling nights at the beginning of the stay will pay an $8 transaction fee and the nightly rate for each night cancelled. Date changes or cancellations to reservations cannot be made until 5 months (150 days) in advance of arrival date.
