Brochure InfoNestled in a forest by the North Santiam River, the North Santiam State Recreation Area is a perfect setting for picnicking, hiking, fishing and camping. There is a network of trail loops in the park for either a short or longer hike. Brochure Info - Facilities and RestrictionsThe park has 9 walk-in, boat-in tent sites (open May 1-Sept. 30) available first-come, first served. The campsite nearest the parking area is accessible to campers with disabilities via a hard surfaced gravel trail. There is access to drinkable water within the campsite area. 10 picnic sites are available, several with river view. The group area has a picnic shelter with electricity, picnic tables, BBQ stand and firepit. Reserve the shelter by calling 1-800-452-5687. An $8 transaction fee is charged for any date or site changes made to an existing reservation. *Reservations for more than five nights/days that are later changed to fewer nights/days by cancelling nights at the end of the stay will only pay an $8 transaction fee. Reservations for more than five nights/days that are later changed to fewer nights/days by cancelling nights at the beginning of the stay will pay an $8 transaction fee and the nightly rate for each night cancelled. Date changes or cancellations to reservations cannot be made until 5 months (150 days) in advance of arrival date.
