Brochure InfoA few miles south of Waldport and north of Yachats on the central coast, this small, exquisite destination campground is right alongside miles of broad, sandy beach that makes the park perfect for kite flying and whale watching. Every campsite is mere seconds from the beach, which makes the park perfect for watching storms and sunsets. Beachside is an excellent mid-point stop as you take a jaunt on the coast. Within 30 miles in either direction, you'll find visitor centers, tide pools, hiking and driving tours, three lighthouses, crabbing, clamming, fishing, aquarium and science centers. MAKE SURE YOUR SITE MEETS YOUR CAMPING NEEDS Before reserving, please become familiar with the particulars of your chosen site, including the size of the tent pad area and the type of equipment that you may bring to the park. Brochure Info - Facilities and RestrictionsBeachside State Recreation Site features: 42 tent sites 32 electric sites two rustic yurts RESERVATIONS REQUIRED a hiker-biker area day use area ADA accessible shower and restrooms. Facility has direct access to 9 miles of broad, sandy beach. 8 person maximum per yurt or campsite, 1 person per hiker/biker site. Recreational vehicle wastewater dump stations are located 17 miles north, at South Beach State Park or 17 miles south at Carl G. Washburne State Park. Check out 1pm. Check in 4pm. Beachside is closed seasonally from November 1st to Mid-March. Reservations are available March 15th through October 31st.Key InfoCalifornia sea lions infected with Leptospirosis are appearing on Oregon beaches. Only one vehicle will be allowed per site at this time. Flooding does occur from ocean tides and heavy rainfall during spring and fall. Sites and yurts are limited to one vehicle unless approved by park staff. Limited additional parking available in designated parking (campground) and day use parking lot. If you reserve a yurt, please look for your access combination in the confirmation letter, immediately following the DIRECTIONS to the park. Only one vehicle is allowed to park at the yurt. An $8 transaction fee is charged for any date or site changes made to an existing reservation. *Reservations for more than five nights/days that are later changed to fewer nights/days by cancelling nights at the end of the stay will only pay an $8 transaction fee. Reservations for more than five nights/days that are later changed to fewer nights/days by cancelling nights at the beginning of the stay will pay an $8 transaction fee and the nightly rate for each night cancelled. Date changes or cancellations to reservations cannot be made until 5 months (150 days) in advance of arrival date.
