Each campsite has a picnic table, and dumping stations are nearby. There are 10 cottages, each with a fire ring, screened-in patio, and are available for rent through mid-November. Other amenities include food concessions, a nature trail, twelve miles of marked hiking trails, a picnic area, basketball courts, ball fields, a playground, and showers. Smith/Sunken Meadow State Park, Hallock State Park Preserve, Caleb Smith State Park Preserve, and Connetquot River State Park Preserve.Key InfoPLEASE NOTE: Reservations should only be made through Reserve America, do not book sites via any third-party site (i.e. Airbnb, Vrbo, etc...). GENERAL INFORMATION: The camper must be 21 years of age or older to reserve and occupy a site. Each tent site has a maximum of two tents and 6 people allowed per site. Each trailer site has a maximum of one trailer/RV/motorhome and 6 people per site. Camping patrons must check in and set up by 9PM Mon.-Wed./10PM Thurs./11:30PM Fri. & Sat., or risk losing the reservation. No tents are allowed in the trailer and cottage sections (any site that start with a `T` or ‘Cott’). A second car (with a green pass) is not allowed to enter campground to load or unload equipment/drop off or pick up people. The car must be parked with pass displayed in the grass parking lot near the entrance to the park. There is a one-time fee charged for a 2nd car pass at the time it is registered at the camp office. The 2nd car pass is valid for the entirety of a reservation. Pets are NOT allowed in the park. Water for drinking and washing dishes is located throughout the camp. All campfires must be in metal containers above ground. Metal containers must be brought along by campers, but also may be rented from the park concessionaire at the Camp Store during their hours of operation. Firewood is for sale at the park at the concessionaire Camp Store. No rugs or mats allowed on grass. Each site has a picnic table. Please do not move picnic tables from their allotted site. Quiet Hours are from 10PM to 7AM. Trailer generators may be run outside of these hours. The campground recycles newspaper and cardboard. Pools are not allowed anywhere in the park. During July & August movies are shown every Wednesday & Saturday. Also available are twelve miles of marked trails, a volleyball court, basketball courts, ball fields, playgrounds, and more. FALL FESTIVAL is in September. Check the NYS Parks Wildwood State Park Website for current info. Cottages: A 7-night minimum is required during CORE season. A 3-night minimum is required during PEAK season. A 2-night minimum is required during NON-PEAK season. SWIMMING: Each year the campground makes every effort to provide safe swimming opportunities by testing the water and by keeping the swimming areas staffed with lifeguards. Please be aware that if the safety of our swimmers is compromised due to lack of lifeguard coverage or water quality issues, swimming will be prohibited. Swimming cannot be a guaranteed activity; therefore, we cannot offer refunds on camping stays. We apologize for this inconvenience as it may occur with little advance notice. PRE-REGISTRATION: Have an existing reservation? Don't forget to PRE-REGISTER!! 7 days prior to arrival you can sign into Reserve America and pre-register. IT SAVES TIME when checking in. LENGTH OF STAY: A camping party and their equipment may occupy a site for a maximum of 14 continuous nights (campsites only). After which, the camping party and equipment must leave the site and facility for 48 hours before registering again for another site. Agency-issued overnight dashboard permits may not be used to bridge camping reservations. Please Note: To ensure fairness for all NY customers, any reservation with departure dates outside the 9-month Maximum Window cannot be changed or cancelled until 18 days after the reservation was made. OPRHP General Camping Rules, Information, and Cancellation PolicyImportant Information for Daily EntranceDirectionWildwood is 73 miles from Manhattan. Take 495 E/Long Island Expressway ramp to Eastern Long Island Riverhead to Exit 68 for William Floyd Pkwy toward County 46. Once you have merged onto Express Dr (Service road), you will need to get into the right lane. The right lane will take you onto Route 46/William Floyd Parkway heading North. Merge onto to William Floyd Parkway and keep to the right lane. After 7.3 miles you will reach the end of the Route 46, bear to the right onto Route 25A East. At the 3rd traffic light, turn left onto Sound Avenue. Take Sound avenue to the next first traffic light and make another left turning onto Hulse Landing Road.
