Brochure InfoLess than 40 minutes to the coastal beaches to the east and to Manchester to the west, Pawtuckaway State Park Campground is well located for easy access to a variety of attractions and activities. Except for the RV Park located at Hampton Beach, Pawtuckaway provides the closest state park camping area to the seacoast. Hiking, mountain biking, boating, swimming, and fishing are popular pastimes of campers. All sites are wooded and many provide views of the lake. Each of the campsites has an open fireplace, picnic table, flat area for a tent, and a parking space. Although there are no hook-ups, recreational vehicles are welcome in sites where they fit. Running water, flush toilet facilities, a camp store, boat launch, and canoe and paddle boat rentals are available. Coin-operated showers are accessible 24 hours a day. Please remember that pets are not permitted. The 195-site campground is available by reservation only.Key InfoBeach Advisories Please be aware that beach advisories occur unexpectedly during the summer months. Additional Information The nightly base site fee pays for 2 adults only and up to 4 dependent children under 18. You must be 18 to register for a campsite. 6 people maximum per site of which only 4 can be adults. Extra adults are $10 per night. No electrical/water hook-ups or dump stations at this campground. There is a maximum of 2 vehicles per site, extra vehicles are to be parked in the shower-building parking lot. Camping equipment must be set up on designated dirt portion of campsites. Maximum per site: one trailer (tent or travel) and one tent; OR one motor home and one tent; OR two large tents. Quiet hours are from 10pm to 7am. Generators may not be used during quiet hours and cannot be run continuously through the day. Check-out time is 11am. After check-out campers may park and spend the remainder of the day in the day-use area. Pets are prohibited at all state beaches, picnic areas, and historic site and must be leashed at all times. Pets are allowed in the campground (excluding youth group sites) from October 1st until Nov 1st. They are not allowed in the campground from May 1st - Sept. 30th. If a pet becomes objectionable to any park visitor, the owner will be asked to remove the pet from the park. *NH Senior Citizens are given a $5 per night discount and NH State Employees are given a 50% discount. NH State Employee discount does not apply to yurts or cabins. The discount will be provided once verified at the campground. Park office phone number - 603-895-3031 PLEASE DO NOT BRING FIREWOOD WITH YOU FROM OUTSIDE OF THE STATE OF NH. Firewood can carry exotic insects and tree diseases. Safe firewood is available to purchase at the campground for your convenience. Do not drive nails into trees, hang gas lanterns on trees, cut any standing trees, or remove their limbs. YOUTH GROUPS For Pawtuckaway youth group reservations call 603-271-4244. Reservations made for the Youth Group camping area will be charged a $25.00 fee upon making the reservation. Additional fees for guests camping must be paid upon arrival at the campground. Children are $5.00 per night and adults are $10.00 per night. For every 4 children 1 adult will be charged the $5.00 youth rate. Any remaining adults will pay the $10.00 adult charge. The Youth Group camping area is tent only. **For any refund requests after the reservation arrival date, please contact park office. ** Booking Rules The maximum reservation window is 11 months in advance, and sites become available at 8am (9am on weekends) exactly 11 months from the anticipated arrival day. Day Use Visitors should make a reservation before arriving at the park as parking is limited (especially on nice weekends and holidays). However, a limited number of walk-in spaces are available and visitors who do not make a reservation will be admitted on a first come/first-serve basis. Reservations can be made up to 30 days prior to arrival and no later than 5pm on the day of your visit. Main Entrance Hiking/Boating Pass: Access to Fire Tower via Mountain Trail, Fundy, Shaw, Woronoco, Split Rock, and car top boat launch Pawtuckaway has a network of trails that make it easy to get lost. Please make sure you have a map and/or GPS with you so you can return safely. The 784 acre Pawtuckaway Lake offers boating both motorized and non-motorized. Large trailered boats must use the boat launch on Fundy Cover. Small car-top boats can use the small Reservation Road Hiking Pass: Access to North Mtn., Middle Mtn., South Mtn., Fire Tower, Boulder Field, and Round Pond. Pawtuckaway has a network of trails that make it easy to get lost. Please make sure you have a map and/pr GPS with you so you can return safely. Beach Day Pass: Pawtuckaway State Park is located on Pawtuckaway Lake in Nottingham, NH. This park boasts a 600 foot beach and large shaded picnic area, ideal for picnicking, a large swimming area and is popular for fishing along the lake. There are grills and picnic tables located throughout the picnic area. Important Information: No pets are permitted in the beach area. Park is carry in carry out, you must take all your trash home with you. Music must be kept at low volume. Trails may be icy during the spring season. Microspikes are recommended during these times. Lifeguards Lifeguards may not be on duty. Swim at your own risk. Cancellation Policy: Cancellations MUST be made prior to 9AM of the day of your visit. There will be no refunds due to weather, insects, or failure to attend the park without prior notice. Refunds requested for extenuating circumstances must be submitted to: nhstateparkscamping@dncr.nh.gov where they will be evaluated on a case by case basis. Discount for New Hampshire Seniors:Indicate that you are a senior on your order details page and you will not be charged the day-use/parking fee. However, there is a $1 transaction fee for using the online reservation system. To receive your discount at our per person fee locations, simply enter the number of NH Senior Citizens in the vehicle/occupant information section of the order details page, instead of the number of Adults.DirectionFrom I-93: Take Route 101 east to Exit 5 and follow signs to Pawtuckaway State Park. From I-95: Take Route 101 west to Exit 5 and follow signs to Pawtuckaway State Park. A $6.50 non-refundable on-line reservation fee will be charged for each reservation. Payment Methods Accepted On-line: Cancellation Policy A non-refundable penalty fee of $15.00 will be charged for cancellations made less than 6 days prior to your scheduled arrival. There is no cancellation fee for cancellations made 6 days or more before your scheduled arrival.
