Brochure InfoEllacoya State Park is located in Gilford on the southwest shore of Lake Winnipesaukee, New Hampshire's largest lake. The 600-foot long sandy beach, with views across the lake to the Sandwich and Ossipee mountains, is a great place to spend with the family for a full day of swimming and picnicking. An accessible bathhouse and a changing area for swimmers can be found near the swimming area. A small park store offers refreshments and souvenirs for sale. An area to launch small boats, such as canoes and those carried on car rooftops, can be found in the Ellacoya RV Park area for launching into Lake Winnipesaukee.Key InfoBeach Advisories Please be aware that beach advisories occur unexpectedly during the summer months. Any cancellations or changes to a reservation need to be done through Reserve America and cancellation fees will apply. Pet Policy Pets are not permitted at this park. Anyone entering with a pet will be asked to leave. Please do not bring out-of-state firewood with you. Firewood can carry exotic insects and tree diseases. Safe firewood is available to purchase at the campground for your convenience. There is a maximum of two vehicles per campsite, excluding group sites. Pop-ups allowed, but must hook up to all 3 services (water, sewer and electric). Cable connection is available. NO jet skis! **Tents are NOT allowed at Ellacoya. No fire rings at any site. *All campers MUST hook up to all 3 services (water, sewer and electric). All campers MUST be self-contained with water, and electric hook ups. After Columbus Day, bathroom facilities will be closed, however water service will still be available to the full hook-up sites. Fee Information The nightly site fee pays for 2 adults only, and up to 4 dependent children under 18. 6 people maximum per site, of which only 4 can be adults. The third and fourth extra adult on a site pay $10.00 each, per night, upon check-in. Additional children are charged $5.00 per night There is a maximum of two vehicles per campsite, excluding group sites. NH State Employees are given a 50% discount. The discount will be provided once verified at the campground. Visitation Information There is limited to no cell service at this park. Service may vary based on provider. For emergency calls, use pay phone located at the reservation office. Emergency Police/Fire/Ambulance....911 Park office phone number - 603-293-7821 Cancellation Policy: If you are cancelling 7 days or less from your arrival date you will be charged a $15 cancellation fee in addition to the $6.50 non-refundable reservation transaction fee charged at booking. If you do not arrive at the facility for your stay, and do not call the park to cancel by noon on the day of your reservation, no refund will be issued. If there are any concerns about your reservation, please call the ReserveAmerica Call Center at 1-877-647-2757 Any refund requests occuring after the reservation arrival date must be submitted in writing or emailed to State Parks Headquarters within 14 days of departure. Please email requests to nhstateparkscamping@dncr.nh.gov or mail to: NH State Parks Reservation Office, 172 Pembroke Rd, Concord, NH 03301 Booking Rules: The maximum reservation window is 11 months in advance and sites become available at 8am (9am on weekends) exactly 11 months from the anticipated arrival day. Visitors are encouraged to make a reservation before arriving at the park as parking is limited (especially on nice weekends and holidays). However, a number of walk-in spaces are available, and visitors who do not make a reservation will be admitted on a first come/first-serve basis. Reservations can be made up to 30 days prior to arrival and no later than 5pm on the day of your visit. Beach Info No pets are permitted in the beach area. Park is carry in carry out, you must take all your trash home with you. Music must be kept at low volume. The beach and picnic area are smoke free. The beach does not have lifeguards. Glass is prohibited. Footwear required in restrooms. Changing rooms are not available. Operating hours are from 9:00AM-6:00PM Bathrooms are closed at 5:30PM. No fishing off of the beach. Wood fires are prohibited Lifeguards Lifeguards may not be on duty. Swim at your own risk. Cancellation Policy: Cancellations MUST be made prior to 9AM of the day of your visit. There will be no refunds due to weather, insects, or failure to attend the park without prior notice. Refunds requested for extenuating circumstances must be submitted to: nhstateparkscamping@dncr.nh.gov where they will be evaluated on a case by case basis. NH Senior Discount: Indicate that you are a NH senior on your order details page and you will not be charged the day-use/parking fee. However, there is a $1 transaction fee for using the online reservation system. A $6.50 non-refundable on-line reservation fee will be charged for each reservation. Payment Methods Accepted On-line: Cancellation Policy A non-refundable penalty fee of $15.00 will be charged for cancellations made less than 6 days prior to your scheduled arrival. There is no cancellation fee for cancellations made 6 days or more before your scheduled arrival.
