Brochure InfoBear Brook, with over 10,000 acres, is the largest developed state park in New Hampshire. Located in the southeast region of the state. Hiking, biking, swimming and fishing are a few of the favorite things to do. Forty miles of trails through the heavily forested park, leading to seldom visited marshes, bogs, summits and ponds, offer a variety of options for hikers, mountain bikers and equestrians. Canoe rentals are available at both Beaver and Catamount Ponds, while rowboat rentals are also available at Beaver Pond. Fly-fishing enthusiasts will be pleased to know Archery Pond welcomes their specialty and is universally accessible. Across the road from Archery Pond is a special little pond just for children under twelve to fish. If archery is your sport you might already know that Bear Brook boasts two archery ranges. Two ranges, a 15-target range and 4-target practice range that is universally accessible. (Bring your own archery equipment.) You can stay in shape by using the park's 1-1/4 mile, 20-station fitness course that is fun for the whole family.Key InfoThis park has 2 archery ranges, many fishing areas including a pond for just children 12 and under to fish, many hiking trails, and mountain biking trails. Fee Information: The nightly base site fee pays for 2 adults only and up to 4 dependent children under 18. You must be 18 to register for a campsite. Extra adults are $10 per night. NH Senior Citizens are given a $5 per night discount to all campgrounds with the exception of Cannon Mountain RV, Ellacoya, and Hampton Beach. NH Seniors must bring their NH photo ID for verification. NH State Employees are given a 50% discount on campsites with the exception of yurts and cabins. NH State Employees must bring their State ID or current paystub for discount to be applied. Additional Information: There is limited to no cell service at this park. Service may vary based on provider. For emergency calls, use pay phone located at the park office/store. Firewood can carry exotic insects and tree diseases. Safe firewood is available to purchase at the campground for your convenience. NO hook up sites available at this campground. There is a maximum of two vehicles per campsite, excluding group sites. Important Reminders Check-in time is between 1pm and 8pm and check out time is before 11am. Quiet hours are between the hours of 10pm and 7am. Generators may not be used during quiet hours. Pets must be leashed and supervised at all times and are not permitted on the beaches. All visitors are required to register and pay the day-use fee at the campground office. Campers shall not have any day-use visitors at their campsite between the hours of 10pm and 7am. Prior to your stay please check for beach advisories posted by the Dept. of Environmental Services by visiting: www4.des.state.nh.us/WaterShed_BeachMaps/ Advisories are updated daily. Any cancellations or changes to a reservation need to be done through Reserve America and cancellation fees will apply. Booking Rules: The maximum reservation window is 11 months in advance and sites become available at 8am (9am on weekends) exactly 11 months from the anticipated arrival day. Cancellation Policy: If you are cancelling 7 days or less from your arrival date you will be charged a $15 cancellation fee in addition to the $6.50 non-refundable reservation transaction fee charged at booking. If you do not arrive at the facility for your stay, and do not call the park to cancel by noon on the day of your reservation, no refund will be issued. If there are any concerns about your reservation, please call the ReserveAmerica Call Center at 1-877-647-2757 Any refund requests occuring after the reservation arrival date must be submitted in writing or emailed to State Parks Headquarters within 14 days of departure. Please email requests to nhstateparkscamping@dncr.nh.gov or mail to NH State Parks Reservation Office, 172 Pembroke Rd, Concord, NH 03301Important Information for Daily EntranceDay Use: Visitors should make a reservation before arriving at the park as parking is limited (especially on nice weekends and holidays). However, a number of walk-in spaces are available, and visitors who do not make a reservation will be admitted on a first come/first-serve basis. Reservations can be made up to 30 days prior to arrival and no later than 5pm on the day of your visit. Hiking Pass: Bear Brook has a large network of trails that make it easy to get lost. Please make sure you have a map, compass and/or GPS with you so you can return safely. Leashed pets are allowed on the park trails, please remove all dog waste. Trails may be icy during the winter and spring seasons. Microspikes are recommended. Beach Pass: No pets are permitted in the beach area. Park is carry in carry out, you must take all your trash home with you. Music must be kept at low volume. Refunds requested for extenuating circumstances must be submitted to: nhstateparkscamping@dncr.nh.gov where they will be evaluated on a case by case basis. NH Senior Discount: New Hampshire Seniors: Indicate that you are a senior on your order details page and you will not be charged the day-use/parking fee. However, there is a $1 transaction fee for using the online reservation system. To receive your discount at our per person fee locations, enter the number of NH Senior Citizens in the vehicle/occupant information section of the order details page to receive your applicable discount.DirectionFrom I-93: Exit 9N onto Route 3/28 North and follow signs to Bear Brook State Park. From I-95: Route 4 West to Route 28 South and follow signs to Bear Brook State Park. To access the camping areas, visitors will travel approximately four miles from the junction of Deerfield Road and Route 28, turning right onto Podunk Road. Once on Podunk Road, there is a fork in the road, visitors will take a left to reach the main campground or a right to stay on Podunk Road for the cabins at Bear Hill. The main campround at Bear Brook and the Bear Hill cabins are at the terminus of their respective roads.Booking Window Product InfoFee Cancellation DescFee Information Payment in full will be charged to your credit card upon completion of the reservation. A $6.50 non-refundable on-line reservation fee will be charged for each reservation. Payment Methods Accepted On-line: Cancellation Policy A non-refundable penalty fee of $15.00 will be charged for cancellations made less than 6 days prior to your scheduled arrival. There is no cancellation fee for cancellations made 6 days or more before your scheduled arrival.
