Brochure InfoRutland State Park is a 300-acre recreation area with developed facilities for fresh water swimming, picnicking, fishing, hiking and non-motorized boating. At Whitehall Pond, there is a swimming beach and a reservable pavilion in an adjacent picnic area. This small pavilion has eight picnic tables and a large charcoal grill. The fee is $65.00 per day/use. Parking fees are not included in the pavilion rental fee.Brochure Info - Facilities and RestrictionsWE ARE NOT YET ACCEPTING 2021 RESERVATIONS FOR THE PAVILION. Please be advised, the rental of this facility is generally for a self-catered picnic or simple gathering. Should you be interested in having a caterer, amplified music, a bounce house, fundraising event, etc. you will need to secure permission via a special event permit. There is a $45 non-refundable application fee, a Certificate of Liability Insurance will be required and you will be need to submit a Covid-19 Compliance Plan stating how you will meet the Governor’s guidelines. (508) 886-6333 Please be advised that this facility may reach capacity early in the day. Once the parking lot is full, your guests will not be able to enter. Please plan accordingly. Please use the Whitehall Pond entrance road access. All members of your party must pay the facility Parking Fee. Alcohol is prohibited in all DCR Facilities. Children must be attended at all times. Children 16 and under must wear bicycle helmets while riding bicycles. Pets must be attended and leashed at all times; are prohibited from swimming beaches and state buildings, including restrooms. Pick up after your pet and deposit waste in trash. Please clean up the area after use. Do not wash dishes in bathroom sinks or at public faucets. Bring paper goods for your outing or plan to transport and wash dishes at home. Decorations may be hung with thumb tacks or tape. No duct tape, nails or staples. Remove all balloons and decorations. Pavilion reservations are rain or shine events. There are no refunds, unless cancelled with ReserveAmerica prior to reserved date.Important Information for Daily EntranceDirectionFrom Worcester: Take Rte 290 West to Exit # 18 or Rte 290 East to Exit #17. Follow Rte 9 West to set of lights at Park Ave. Go straight through lights (don't follow Rte 9 anymore) following the Worcester airport signs to junction with Rte 122 North in Tatnuck Square. Continue straight up the hill following Rte 122N into Paxton Center. Stay on Rte 122N for 5 more miles to blinking light at Rte. 122A South. Take a right onto 122A S and follow for half mile. Take a left onto Fishermans Rd & then take your next right into the park. Follow for 1.5 mi. to recreation area. From South West: Take MASS PIKE East (Rte. I-90E) to exit # 9 in Sturbridge. Take Rte 20 East to Rte. 49 North. Take a left onto Rte. 49 N to STOP at Rte 9 in Spencer. Take a right onto Rte 9 East to first set of lights. Turn left at lights onto Meadow Rd and follow to STOP sign. Take a left onto Rte 31 North and follow for 4 miles. Take a left onto Barclay Rd to STOP sign at Rte 122 North. Take a left onto Rte 122 N & follow for a half mile to blinking light. Take a right at blinking light onto Route 122A South. Take first left onto Fisherman's Rd & then take your next right into the park. Follow for 1.5 mi. to recreation area. From North West: Take Rte 2 East to exit #22 in Gardner, onto Rte 68 South. Take Route 68 South for 10 miles through Hubbardston and into Rutland. Turn right onto Rte 56 South and follow for 4 miles to Rte 122A in Rutland center. Turn right onto Rte 122A North & follow Rte 122A N for two miles. Take a right onto Fisherman's Rd. & then take your next right into the park. Follow for 1.5 mi. to recreation area. From the East/Boston Take MASS PIKE West (Rte. I-90W) to Exit #10 in Auburn. Take Rte 20 West to Rte 56 North. Turn right onto Rte 56N through Leicester center (you'll cross Rte 9 here). Follow Rte 56N to STOP at Rte 122 in Paxton. Take a left onto Rte 122 North and follow for 7 miles to blinking light at Rte.122A South. Take a right on 122A S Follow Rte 122A S for half mile. Take a left onto Fisherman's Rd & then take your next right into the park.
