Brochure Info The main camping area at Grand Isle State Park consists of 45 pull-through sites. It's an outstanding spot for relaxing under the stars and cooking freshly caught seafood over an open campfire. Sites have electrical and water hook-ups. The sites do not have sewerage hook-ups, but there is a central dump station located directly outside the campground. Two bathhouses provide the basic necessities for settling into the natural wonders of Grand Isle. There is an observation tower, fishing pier, crabbing pier, and nature trails. There are also 14 unimproved (no water or electricity) tent camping sites on the beach. Vehicles are not allowed on the beach, so beach camping guests must carry their camping equipment to their sites. Rules Pets are not allowed in any park buildings or on the beach. Pets are also not allowed in the beach tent camping area. Please be prepared to pay the balance of your facility rental fee upon your arrival at the park. Reservations for overnight facilities are held until check-out time the day after your scheduled arrival. Early departures will be treated as cancellations. Golden Age/Golden Access Passport holders must present a valid card at check-in. Persons who rent park facilities can be held responsible for any damage done to those facilities. All park buildings are smoke free environments A maximum stay of 14 consecutive days is allowed in the park. Reservations must be made at least 48 hours in advance. Entrance Station Hours: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sundays through Thursdays; 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Visitors need to be aware that Grand Isle State Park is located directly on the Gulf of Mexico, and subject to heavy currents and rip currents. Water can look calm on the surface, but wind, tide, and other weather conditions can create dangerous underwater currents. Also keep in mind the native marine life, such as stingrays and jellyfish, that can injure swimmers. All persons under 21 years of age must be accompanied by adults when using reserved facilities. For Contactless Checkins, reservations must be paid in full through Reserve America prior to arrival at the park and the guest must contact the park prior to arrival for further instructions. DAY USE RESERVATIONS-The use fees DO NOT cover entrance fees to the facility. You are responsible for the entrance fees upon arrival.Important Information for Daily EntranceDirectionFrom New Orleans, Take Highway 90 west bound to Highway 308. On 308 cross the bayou and take a left at LA 1. Continue on Highway 1 until you come to a sign for Grand Isle. Take a right on the access road which will take you to a four-lane road. Take a left on the four-lane road which will turn back into LA 1. Follow this for about one hour to Grand Isle State Park, which is located on the east end of Grand Isle, off LA 1 on Admiral Craig Drive. A $6.00 non-refundable on line reservation fee will be charged for each reservation. Payment Methods Accepted On-Line: Cancellation Policy A non-refundable fee of $10.00 will be charged for any cancellation. Additional late cancellation fee may apply to cancellation less than 15 days prior to the scheduled arrival date, depending on your reservation. If you are reserving a cabin, lodge or group camp 10 months or more in advance of the arrival date, this reservation will adhere to the following: No change can be made to this reservation until the deposit is paid and 18 days from the date the reservation was made has elapsed. One night deposit is due 10 days after the reservation was made or it will be cancelled. 30 days after this reservation is made the balance must be paid in full or it will be cancelled without additional written notification.
