RV Standard and Tent Camping The campground roads are narrow. Please take extra caution backing in RV Units. It is best to book a campsite that exceeds the length of the RV Unit. Water availability on campsites during the months of March and November is dependent on the weather. A frost-free spigot is available at the dump station. Call the Park Office at 302-645-8983 for more information. Check-in: 1:00 pm Check-out: 12:00 pm Only one vehicle per campsite will be assigned a pass allowing free entry in and out of the park. All other vehicles must park in the visitors parking area and are required to pay entrance fees when re-entering the park. Any equipment changes from original reservation requirements must be approved through the park office prior to arrival. Equipment changes may result in the cancellation of your reservation. In the case of a late arrival 24 hours or more please notify the park at 302-645-8983 or your reservation may be cancelled. Be respectful of those campers already set up. You must be 18 or older to reserve a campsite. At least one member of the camping party must be 18 or older. Quiet hours are: 10 P.M. - 7 A.M. Chopping, cutting or otherwise damaging trees and vegetation in any way is strictly forbidden. Keg beer is prohibited. All motorhomes, trailers, vans and buses must be parked on pad. By definition, Delaware State Park Campgrounds are family campgrounds. Group camping is prohibited in family campgrounds. Individuals are limited to two sites at any time. Those interested in group camping facilities are invited to call 302-644-5005. Cabins Check-in: 3:00 PM Check-out: 11:00 AM. Visitors who vacate their cabin after 11:00 AM will be charged a $100.00 Late Fee. You must call the park office before 3:30 pm on the day of arrival (302-645-8983) if you will be arriving late. During the months of November and March, call the Park office on Fridays for late arrivals on weekends. 302-645-8983. One person in the party must be 21 years or older and must remain with the party during the cabin stay. Identification may be required upon check-in. A maximum of 6 people are allowed per cabin. Pets are prohibited in the cabins and cabin area. Cooking is prohibited inside the cabin Smoking is prohibited inside the cabin. Additional camping units (tents, pop-ups, RV's) are prohibited in the cabin areas. One vehicle is allowed to park in the designated cabin parking area. Additional vehicles must park in the visitors parking lot located at the entrance to the campground and are required to pay entrance fees when re-entering the park. Please leave the cabin clean. Trash dumpsters are provided at the bathhouses. Please report any issues to the campground registrar or park office. You are responsible for any damages to the cabin that occurred during your stay or not reported promptly upon your arrival. A one week minimum is required during Prime season. A 2 night minimum is required on weekends in shoulder seasons and a 3 night minimum is required on holiday weekends in shoulder seasons. Delaware now requires a fishing license to cover both salt water and fresh water fishing. This includes recreational clamming and crabbing. The license may be purchased at agents authorized by the Division of Fish & Wildlife or at State Park offices. Turn left onto Dartmouth Road to stop sign. Turn left again onto Route 9 East, Freeman Highway, traveling approximately 2.8 miles. Turn right onto Cape Henlopen Drive. Park entrance is approximately 1 mile past the Cape May-Lewes Ferry terminal.Booking Window Product InfoFee Cancellation DescCancellation Policy A cancellation fee of $10 applies if cancellation occurs prior to 31 days before arrival date. Balance of payments will be refunded. A cancellation fee of a one-day camping fee is charged if cancellation is within 30 days of arrival date; the balance of payment received will be refunded. A cabin reservation carries a $35 cancellation fee; the balance of payment received will be refunded. A reservation at the Cottages at Indian River Marina carries a cancellation fee of one-half of the total rental fee. Early departures forfeit all balances. No refunds will be given unless Delaware State Parks or the reservation call center is notified of the cancellation. The park reserves the right to hold a campsite, cabin or yurt for no more than 24 hours after a customer's expected arrival date; after that time, the reservation will be cancelled. The park must receive notice of the late arrival to hold the reservation after the designated arrival time. Changes or cancellations made to the reservation 31 days or more before the arrival date will result in a $10.00 cancellation fee; $35.00 fee for cabin rentals. A one night camping fee will be charged for any changes or cancellations made 30 days or less before the arrival date. No refunds will be given for cancellations made after the date of arrival or after the point of check-in.
