Brochure InfoAt the turn of the century, this was the site of the Diamond Match Company. Scenic waterfalls are at the southeast end of the Park on the Eight Mile River. This park offers Accessible Parking. This park offers Accessible Picnic tables. The park is open from 8:00 A.M. to sunset. The check-out time is Sunset. Pets on a leash are permitted in picnic areas and on hiking trails. All pets must be on a leash at all times. The picnic shelter is 1100 sq ft in an octagon shape. The Shelter has 2 pedestal grills and 6 picnic tables. Any items brought to the shelter must be removed by sunset of rental day. This includes rental chairs Cars must be parked in the main lot. The shelter is 50 yards from the pond. Heavy weekend use at each park may lead to gate closures if the park fills to capacity. In the event of this happening, no more cars are allowed to enter. Guests should plan to arrive as early as possible to avoid being turned away. (Picnic shelter rental does not guarantee entry to the park.)Important Information for Daily EntranceDirectionFrom I-84: Take Exit 16. At both east and west ramps, take a left onto Route 188. Follow to junction with Route 67. At traffic light, take a left onto Route 67. At the next light, take a right back onto Route 188. Southford Falls is 1/2 mile on the left. From Route 8 north or south: Take Exit 22 onto Route 67 in Seymour. Follow Route 67 north through Oxford. After about 9 miles, take a left at the traffic light at the Junction of Route 188.
