Brochure InfoSalt Rock Campground is a great place to bring your family for an enjoyable summertime camping trip. The park offers one mile of riverfront.Brochure Info - OrientationSalt Rock Campground is located in the town of Baltic, in southern Connecticut.Brochure Info - RecreationFishing is available by permit along the Shetucket River, which offers over one mile of waterfront access. Permits are NOT available through the Salt Rock State Campground office. However, a Connecticut fishing license is all that is requiredBrochure Info - Facilities and RestrictionsFacilities include tent and recreational vehicle (RV) sites, some of which have utilities. There are also restrooms, a dumping station, showers, and 2 in-ground swimming pools. Pool hours: Monday- Sunday: 10 a.m-6 p.mKey InfoReservations must be made at least 2 days in advance. 11 month reservation window. The maximum length of stay is 21 consecutive days. If you have a 21 day reservation, all members of your camping party and your camping equipment must leave the park for 5 days before you can return. In an effort to protect Connecticut's forests from the introduction and spread of destructive insect pests - in particular the emerald ash borer and Asian long-horned beetle - the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection is taking the following action: Prohibiting the bringing of firewood into state of Connecticut campgrounds and state parks from other states. As an alternative, firewood can be either purchased at the camp stores within the state campgrounds or at local retail sellers of firewood. The Department of Energy and Environmental Protection greatly appreciates the public's assistance in helping to protect the state's natural resources and apologizes for any inconvenience this initiative may cause. One vehicle per site limit. Parking available for second vehicle in visitor lot. Campers must bring their own equipment for recreational activities (horse shoes, swimming tubes, sport equipment, etc). Also, we do not provide each campsite with a grate/grill. Campers need to bring their own. Important Information for Daily EntranceDirectionTake Exit 83 off I-395. Go left, and follow Rte. 97 through Baltic.
