The Daniel Boone National Forest offers an abundance of outdoor recreation opportunities. Camping, hiking and fishing are just a few of the attractions that draw more than one million visitors to the forest each year. Fees are required at some areas, such as boat ramps and campgrounds. However, most recreation opportunities are free for your use and enjoyment. Commercial outfitters, guides and groups of 75 people or more must obtain a Special Use Permit prior to hosting an event.
