About

Rolling M Ranch Campground is the primary camping area at Chino Hills State Park, one of the largest remaining open spaces in Southern California's rapidly urbanizing Inland Empire. The 20-site campground offers developed sites with paved parking, picnic tables, and lantern posts. Flush toilets, showers, and potable water are available, though there are no hookups or dump stations. Maximum vehicle length is 28 feet. The park preserves over 14,000 acres of rolling hills, canyons, and native grasslands that once typified the Southern California landscape. Campers have access to an extensive trail network for hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding. Wildlife including mule deer, coyotes, and raptors are commonly observed. Due to the fire-prone grassland environment, campfires and charcoal BBQs are prohibited; only gas stoves may be used. The campground operates year-round through ReserveCalifornia. Sites accommodate up to 8 occupants and 2 tents. Check-in is at 2 PM with checkout at noon. Generator hours are 10 AM to 8 PM. Stays are limited to 14 consecutive nights with a maximum of 30 nights per calendar year. Gates lock at sunset; registered campers receive daily access codes.
