...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Florida... Withlacoochee At US 41 Dunnellon affecting Citrus, Levy and Marion Counties. .The Withlacoochee River at Dunnellon has been steadily rising since July, and on September 15 reached flood stage. The cause of the high water along the Withlacoochee River at Dunnellon is due to excessive hydrilla growth (from the river bottom to the water surface) along a 4.5 mile stretch of river between US 41 and Lake Rousseau. The hydrilla is acting like a dam and holding water back, causing water levels to rise. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Withlacoochee at US 41 Dunnellon. * WHEN...Until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 28.2 feet, Docks and boat ramps flood along the river in Citrus and Marion counties. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:45 AM EDT Wednesday the stage was 28.2 feet. - Bankfull stage is 28.2 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to remain above flood stage at around 28.2 feet through the next 5 days. Santos Trailhead and Campground is a Florida State Parks facility located on the Marjorie Harris Carr Cross Florida Greenway between Ocala and Belleview. The 23-site campground provides electric and water hookups suitable for RVs up to 42 feet, trailers, and tent campers. Each site includes a picnic table, and fire rings or barbecue grills are permitted. A modern bathhouse with flush toilets and showers serves the campground, along with a dump station and trash receptacles throughout. The adjacent Santos Trailhead is internationally recognized as a Bronze Ride Center by the International Mountain Bike Association, featuring over 80 miles of diverse single-track mountain bike trails developed and maintained through partnership with the Ocala Mountain Bike Association. The trailhead offers air pumps, tools, bike wash stations, and ADA-accessible paved trails. The campground operates year-round with reservations available through ReserveAmerica. Maximum stay is 14 consecutive days with a 7-day break required before returning. Horses are permitted with a negative Coggins test. Quiet hours are 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM with checkout at 1:00 PM.

From US-441 between Ocala and Belleview, turn west onto SE 80th Street. The trailhead and campground entrance is on the left, across from the Marion County Sheriff's Santos Station.
