Much like the campground, Vedauwoo designated dispersed sites offer easy access to the various trails and other recreation opportunities throughout the Pole Mountain area. Dispersed camping is defined as camping sites that are outside of the campgrounds and do not have services such as toilets, electric, water or trash, however each site has a rock fire ring, and the three group sites have a metal ring/grate. All vehicles and campfires must by within 50 feet of the site marker at all times, 100 feet or group sites. No more than two vehicles per site, except for group sites. Length of stay is limited to 16 days at a given site. Please back out all trash and human and animal waste.

There are multiple trailheads located near the Vedauwoo designated campground and designated dispersed campsites. Among these various trails is the Turtle Rock Trailhead, a favorite for visitors. The trail is a short hike, that allows for all levels of hikers. It covers a nice loop that passes multiple rock formations and a few beaver ponds tucked back in the tress. Stop into the Laramie Ranger Station for free trail guides.

Vault toilets are located at the Nautilus Rock TH and on FR 700D. No water or other services available.
