About

Hatch Point Campground is a primitive BLM campground perched on a mesa top in the Canyon Rims Recreation Area, approximately 56 miles southwest of Moab. The campground features 10 individual sites, each equipped with a fire ring and picnic table, with a shared vault toilet serving the area. The remote and quiet setting makes it an excellent destination for stargazing and enjoying solitude away from the crowds. Access requires driving 32 miles south of Moab on Highway 191 to the Canyon Rims turnoff, then approximately 15 miles west on paved road before turning right onto a graveled road toward Anticline Overlook for the final 9 miles. Due to the gravel road access, conditions may vary seasonally. Sites operate on a first-come, first-served basis with a 14-night stay limit within any 30-day period. Campers should be prepared for gusty winds and summer thunderstorms. Generator use is permitted from 8am to 8pm, with quiet hours from 10pm to 6am.

Directions

Drive 32 miles south of Moab on Highway 191 to the Canyon Rims Recreation Area turnoff. Follow the paved road west for approximately 15 miles, then turn right onto the graveled road toward Anticline Overlook. Continue about 9 miles to the campground.
