Longview Campground is situated within Longview Lake Park in Lee's Summit, Missouri, just minutes from south Kansas City. As the largest of three Jackson County campgrounds, it features 89 spacious sites for trailer or tent camping, offering full hookups, electric-only sites, and primitive camping options. The campground is adjacent to the Fred Arbanas Golf Course and provides convenient access to the 930-acre Longview Lake. Each campsite includes a picnic table and fire grill, and the facility features modern restrooms with hot showers, a playground, and firewood and ice for purchase. The eastern loop of the campground provides views of the wetland area known as Scherer Lake. Campers can enjoy a variety of water activities on Longview Lake including power boating, water skiing, jet skiing, and swimming at the beach. The park also offers 14 picnic shelters, 6 miles of paved bicycle trails, softball fields, and a 27-hole golf course, making it an ideal base for exploring the Kansas City area while enjoying a natural setting.
