Noe Creek Campground

Closed — Closed for the season. Opens May 9, 2025 and operates through October 14. First-come, first-served, no reservations. No potable water available.

About

Noe Creek Campground offers a quiet escape in the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests with just six campsites nestled among fir and larch groves. The campground has a park-like aesthetic with views of the North Fork Clearwater River, making it an excellent base for fishing or simply relaxing in a peaceful forested environment. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis and is known for its tranquil atmosphere. Sites include picnic tables and fire rings. A vault toilet is available, but campers should bring their own water as no potable water is provided. The remote location along Forest Road 247 (Beaver Creek Road) requires traveling approximately 64 miles from Orofino through winding mountain roads. Noe Creek is a good choice for campers seeking a quiet, uncrowded spot away from busier developed campgrounds. The North Fork Clearwater River provides fishing opportunities, and the surrounding national forest offers day hiking options. Pack-it-in, pack-it-out trash policy is in effect.

Directions

From Orofino, travel east on Michigan Avenue for 29.7 miles. Make a slight left onto Camp 57 Road and continue for 24 miles. Turn right onto Beaver Creek Road/North Fork Road and travel 10.2 miles to the campground.
