* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulation between 6 to 10 inches possible above 2000 feet. Total snow accumulations between 1 and 2.5 feet possible for elevations above 3000 feet. * WHERE...Trinity County. * WHEN...From Sunday morning through Wednesday morning. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Tire chains may be necessary if travelling through mountain passes. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow levels will remain above 4500 feet Sunday through Monday, dropping to 2000 feet Monday night into Tuesday. There is a potential for snow levels as low as 1500 feet with the heaviest snowfall. The heaviest snowfall rates are expected late Monday through Tuesday morning.

Bailey Canyon Campground offers a peaceful lakeside camping experience on the shores of Ruth Lake in the Mad River Ranger District of Six Rivers National Forest. The campground is set within a mixed conifer forest and features several campsites, including 4 prime waterfront locations along the lake. The remaining sites are nestled in the shade of tall oak, ponderosa pine, and Douglas fir trees. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring, with vault toilets and trash/recycling service available. The campground has a maximum trailer length of 22 feet. The Bailey Canyon Campground Trail connects this campground to the nearby Fir Cove Campground along the scenic shores of Ruth Lake. Ruth Lake itself is a 13,800-acre reservoir offering opportunities for fishing, swimming, and boating. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations. Pets are permitted on leashes, and there is a 14-day stay limit.
Directions
From Mad River, CA, take State Route 36 east for 0.8 miles to the Ruth Lake sign. Turn right after the sign and continue for 10.9 miles to the campground on the right.
